Is it Compulsory to Book a Hotel via the Discover Qatar website in the case of the Hotel Quarantine rule? – On 30th July in the afternoon there is a tweet from @IndEmbDoh that w.e.f 2nd August 2021 Indians if travelling to Doha and Seeking an Arrival visa even if fully vaccinated, will have to get quarantined for 10 days.

Is it Compulsory to Book a Hotel via the Discover Qatar website in the case of the Hotel Quarantine rule?

Before this new rule, it was clear that if someone is asked to do compulsory Hotel quarantine from Ehteraz officials, then the person will have to book from Discover Qatar only.

Now after the announcement of the new rule, people are in a dilemma if their previous Hotel bookings will work which they have done from agency or online booking websites.

Do students have to get quarantined for 10 days in Qatar even if they are fully Vaccinated?

As of now as per the tweet from the Indian embassy in Doha (@IndEmbDoh), Yes even students will have to get quarantined in Doha for 10 days to travel further to their destinations.
Also, Indigo Airlines has updated it on their website, so there should be no further doubt about it.

While Booking Hotel from Discover Qatar it is asking for QID of Qatar, what should I book?

We suggest you, send a mail to Discover Qatar, however as per the latest mail from them –
One can put a
Passport number instead of QID while While Booking Hotel from Discover Qatar it is asking for QID of Qatar.

If I book with discover Qatar Can I share a room with my partner while doing Hotel Quarantine in Qatar?

It has to be a family member with whom you can share your room while doing a Hotel Quarantine in Qatar even if you book it via discover Qatar .

We tweeted the same to @IndEmbDoh and tried to figure out the solution

But as always embassy was not bothered to provide the solution or maybe they are still figuring out the option for it.

There is no reply as of now

We tried Calling Discover Qatar’s contact number

We tried contacting discover Qatar’s official number given on the website but it was not reachable at all.

We have sent a mail on Discover Qatar’s official email id

The official email id is – [email protected]

“Dear Team,
Greetings,
I am an Indian, seeking an on arrival Visa to visit Doha on 3rd August. As per the rules on the official website I am eligible for getting an arrival Visa.
We came to know about the new update that even if the person is vaccinated he or she will have to get quarantined for 10 days.
Sir, I have already booked a Millennium Hotel for 7 nights and I can reschedule my flights and can book a hotel for 3 more nights.
My only concern here is, I have not booked a hotel through Discover Qatar – Please give us clarification on whether the hotel voucher from another vendor or agency shall work or not as they are not giving us a refund.?
Your quick response is expected”

There is no response yet

We called one of the Hotel in Qatar

As per the Hotel, if the person is on Hotel quarantine status then he will have to book the same Hotel from the Discover Qatar website.

No one will respond. I am in trouble because Qatar Airways cancelled their flight. No response to mail…. No pick up of phone other than listening the praise on Qatar Airways best service continuously. Now I got everything Byheart. But, no response at all from the best airways of world

I FINALLY found a decent site to book a HOTEL stay for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Doha. It was ridiculous how hotels all wanted 30 or 40 nights minimum stay; pretty crazy for the average Joe. I booked a 4 nights minimum for Qatar 2022 at a 4-Star Intercontinental Hotel. They also have 3 stars… http://www.WorldCupStadiumHotels.com … GOOD LUCK and VAMOS MEXICO!
