Is it Compulsory to Book a Hotel via the Discover Qatar website in the case of the Hotel Quarantine rule?
Before this new rule, it was clear that if someone is asked to do compulsory Hotel quarantine by Ehteraz officials, then the person will have to book from Discover Qatar only.
Now after the announcement of the new rule, people are in a dilemma if their previous Hotel bookings will work which they have done from agency or online booking websites.
No, Qatar has lifted the Quarantine rule and now visitors will not have to get Quarantined for 10 days if they are fully vaccinated.
We suggest you, send a mail to Discover Qatar, however as per the latest mail from them –
One can put a Passport number instead of QID while Booking Hotel from Discover Qatar it is asking for QID of Qatar.
It has to be a family member with whom you can share your room while doing a Hotel Quarantine in Qatar even if you book it via discover Qatar.
We tweeted the same to @IndEmbDoh and tried to figure out the solution
But as always embassy was not bothered to provide the solution or maybe they are still figuring out the option for it.

We tried contacting discover Qatar’s official number given on the website but it was not reachable at all.

We called one of the Hotel in Qatar
As per the Hotel, if the person is on Hotel quarantine status then he will have to book the same Hotel from the Discover Qatar website.

Hello everyone,my tickets are booked for Doha on 17th August and several times I tried to get ticket for that date through discover Qatar but at the end it’s showing no longer available..can anyone help me with this issue as I could make out that hotels are available but there’s some issue with this site only..how to fix it ..your suggestions ll be highly appreciated.thanks
Hey, if anyone is getting an availability issue on discover Qatar, the best option is to call and email the contact details given on the website.
Only from there one can get resolution:)

I FINALLY found a decent site to book a HOTEL stay for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Doha. It was ridiculous how hotels all wanted 30 or 40 nights minimum stay; pretty crazy for the average Joe.
