Kindly be informed that starting from Sunday – Aug 15th, 2021, passengers coming from Latin America, & India should proceed with a COVID test at Cairo international airport & in case the test result comes out positive, the passenger(s) will not be able to get into Egypt. Noting that the test will be provided at Cairo airport is not a replacement for the PCR test that passengers should bring with negative results from their countries.

The cost is US$ 65.00 (Equivalent to EGP 1000.00) & will be paid by clients directly to Quarantine Section at Cairo Airport while doing the PCR test.

Kindly note the following:

• Passengers must do a PCR test 72 hours prior arrival to Cairo airport and travellers should carry the printed test result to present it to health authorities at Cairo airport upon their arrival.
• Passengers from India, beside the PCR test they are arriving with and should be negative, they encounter another test (speed test: Antigen test) at the airport and if it shows positive COVID, passenger is deported and not allowed to enter the country.
• Obvious, the result should show negative COVID-19.
• Overall, Egypt is not seriously suffering from the spread of COVID among its population. The rate of infection is low.
• Life returned to normal.

Moreover, Kindly note that The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the details of updating the entry of arrivals to the country from abroad during the coming period form passengers received the Corona vaccine without the need for PCR analysis, provided that it contains a QR and not paper.

The Ministry of Health and Population said in a circular, distributed to airports and ports, that this includes vaccines approved by the World Health Organization and the EgyptianMedicines Authority, taking into account the time continent, 14 days after receiving the second dose of vaccines given in two doses (Pfizer – AstraZeneca – Moderna – Sinopharm – Sinovac – or Sputnik), or 14 days have passed since receiving the first dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine, for countries not affected by mutated strains of the corona.

The Ministry of Health indicated that for those coming with vaccination certificates against the Coronavirus from countries affected by the mutated strains of the Coronavirus in the countries: “India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Budan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Brazil, and Latin America,” directly or indirectly. Immediately during the previous 14 days and did not apply the following procedure.

The vaccination certificate in the possession of the passenger who witnessed the Coronavirus is reviewed and the certificates approved in the country (issuing authority), without abrasion, deletion, or addition, and containing a QR Code, and accepting these certificates after verifying the issuer, while continuing to conduct the 19- ID NOW COVID analysis. And if the result is positive for the 19- ID NOW COVID test, a PCR is performed at the arrival airport, and if the PCR analysis is positive, the passenger will be transferred to the Fever Hospital or the designated hospital, and the protocol established in this regard is applied.
