Famous Vegetarian dishes of Azerbaijan 🙂 Azerbaijan’s national cuisine is closer toMiddle Eastern cuisinedue to the taste and preparation of the dishes, as well as adding a dark spice and flavour additives. It is the reason it is quite difficult to get Vegetarian dishes in Azerbaijan even if it is in Baku, Sheki or Astara.
But luckily there are a few awesome dishes in the bank of Azerbaijan for vegetarians also and if you are a tourist travelling to Azerbaijan you should not miss these 🙂

Kyu Kyu
In Azerbaijan, Ku Ku is the general name given todishesin which the main ingredients are vegetables and herbs which are bound with eggs and then browned on both sides on a stovetop.

Azerbaijani cuisine has dozens of different types of pilaf, one of which is “Shakh Plov” (Crown Pilaf) – the King of Azerbaijani pilafs. You will love it once you have it.
Dovga
Dovga is a national meal of Azerbaijani cuisine, a soup traditionally made from plain yoghurt and herbs. More often now, it is a vegetarian, yoghurt-based soup cooked with a variety of herbs.

GOYERTI QUTABI (HERB QUTABS) is a traditional dish of Azerbaijani origins that is made from the thinly rolled dough. It might give a unique taste when you try it for the first time but it is quite famous in Azerbaijan
