7. Day-to-Day Tour Itinerary: Provide a comprehensive day-to-day tour itinerary that outlines the activities, sightseeing, and destinations for the entire duration of the tour.
8. Bank Statement: Submit an updated 6-month bank statement with the applicant’s name and address. The bank statement should be printed on A4-sized sheets and stamped on all pages.
9. Income Proof: Depending on the applicant’s occupation, different documents may be required. For employees, proof of employment such as an employment certificate and recent pay slips are necessary. For business owners, a cover letter on company letterhead, bank statements, and tax documents may be required.
10. Invitation (if applicable): If the applicant has an invitation from a resident of Japan, a copy of the invitee’s Resident Permit is required.

Business visa of Japan for Indians

7. Day to day tour itinerary: A comprehensive day-to-day tour itinerary should be provided, outlining the planned activities and destinations.
8. Updated 6 months bank statement: An original bank statement for the last 6 months is required, with a seal and stamp on all pages. The statement should be printed on A4 size sheets and include the applicant’s name and address.
9. IT return for the last 2 years: Personal income tax returns for the last 2 years should be submitted.
10. Incase of invitation: If the applicant is being invited by someone in Japan, a copy of the invitee’s resident permit is required.
11. Japan Questionnaire Form: The completion of a Japan Questionnaire Form is mandatory.
12. Occupation proof: For employees, proof of employment such as an employment certificate or No Objection Certificate (NOC) and pay slips for the last 3 months are required. For company owners, a cover letter on company letterhead, original bank statement for the last 3 months with bank seal and signature, and proof of paid income tax are required. Students need to provide a leave letter or report card from their school along with identification.
13. Proof of sponsorship or private accommodation: If the applicant is being sponsored, proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation should be provided.
14. Proof of retirement or regular income: If the applicant is retired, proof of retirement and pension statements for the last 3 months are required. Proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business should be provided if applicable.
15. Contact Information: The applicant’s email address and mobile number should be provided in the visa form after the residential address.
16. Important Notes: The passport should be accompanied by the old passport booklets. The visa form should be typed and not handwritten. All documents, including bank statements, should be printed on A4 size sheets, with no printing on both sides. Stapling of sheets should be avoided. Only a 3-month updated bank statement is required. The embassy no longer accepts scanned copies of documents; therefore, all original hard copies should be submitted.
17. Fees: VFS charges Rs. 650/- and courier charges Rs. 750/- are applicable.
18. Processing Time: The visa processing time is typically 5-8 working days.
