Places to see in Yokohama Yokohama is a city in Japan, and in the year 1859, it was one of the first Japanese ports to open its doors to international commerce. There is a large Chinatown that has hundreds of restaurants and stores specialising in Chinese cuisine. Yokohama is a very different city from Tokyo in many respects, despite the fact that it is just a thirty-minute train trip away.

Yokohama Museum of Art

On November 3, 1989, the doors of the Yokohama Museum of Art were first opened to the general public. It is regarded as one of the most important art institutions in all of Japan. It features the wide area of the Grand Gallery, which is highlighted by its world-famous architecture. The museum has a total of seven exhibition areas across its building. In addition to that, it has an art information and media centre that has a collection of more than 110 000 volumes.

Yokohama Cosmo World

It is an amusement park located in Yokohama, which is located in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. Having the Cosmo clock 21 is a feature of it. This clock was formerly the world’s highest ferris wheel until it was replaced with a newer one.

Sankeien Garden

Sankei-en is a traditional Japanese-style garden in Naka, Yokohama. Tomitaro Hara is responsible for the design and construction of Sankei-en. It is necessary to get permission before using the private houses and grounds for any commercial reason.

Yokohama Motomachi

CupNoodles Museum

Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
