Is Azerbaijan Safe for holiday and famous places in Azerbaijan to see/visit– Well’Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Until 2019 it was absolutely safe to travel to this country but in 2020 there was a war between Azerbaijan and Armenia which tourists think twice about it .But in the late 2020 the war came to an end which opened hopes for tourism activities in Azerbaijan:)

Mud Volcano

It is Lying close together in the open desert, practically in the middle of emptiness, these little craters are charming.Resembling like a quicksand, the big is the most interesting of all. They are bubbling and it takes a while to catch an image of a big bubble.

Lake Goygol

It is a natural impounded lake inAzerbaijan. It is situated at the footsteps ofMurovdag, not far fromGanja.Due to an earthquake which hit the area on 25 September 1139, parts of the Kapaz Mount collapsed and blocked the path of the Kürəkçay River.

Absheron National Park

Absheron National Park is a national park of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests’ ecoregion. It was established on the 8th of February 2005, on an area of 783 hectares in the administrative territory of the District of Azizbeyov in the City of Baku, on the base of Absheron State Nature Preserve.

Baku

Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan, is a low-lying city with coastline along the Caspian Sea. It’s famed for its medieval walled old city, which contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a vast royal complex, and the iconic stone Maiden Tower.

Astara

It is a city and capital of Astara County, Gilan Province, Iran. It is at the border with Azerbaijan and on the Caspian Sea. It is quite busy border trade center between Iran and the Caucasus.

Sheki

It is a city in Azerbaijan, in the rayon of the same name. Shaki is in northern Azerbaijan on the southern part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range, 240 km from Baku. Shaki’s population is around 63,000.

Quba

It is a city in and the capital of the Quba Rayon of Azerbaijan. This city is on the north-eastern slopes of Shahdag mountain and is at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level ! It is located on the right bank of the Kudyal river.

Goyazan Mountain

It is a mountain in the Qazakh District of Azerbaijan. It is located in the vicinity of the villages Abbasbeyli and Alpout . Ruins of a Goyazan fortress from the 14th century were found near the mountain.
