Famous places to Visit/see in Armenia ?Armenia is a nation, and former Soviet republic, in the mountainous Caucasus region between Asia and Europe. Armenia went into war with Azerbaijan in early 2020 which ended in the month of oct 2020 .

Armenia is a beautiful country with some awesome tourist places in its bank which should not be ignored 🙂

Yerevan

Yerevan is Armenia’s capital which is marked by grand Soviet-era architecture.Republic Square is the city’s core, with musical water fountains and colonnaded government buildings.It is the largest city of Armenia and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.

Shikahogh State Reserve

Shikahogh State Reserve is Armenia’s second largest forest reserve which is covering some 10,330 ha of land. It is located in southern Armenia in the Syunik Province.

Lake Sevan

Lake Sevan is a large and high-altitude lake in eastern Armenia. It is known for its beaches. On narrow peninsula, the Monastery has 2 stone churches of 9th Century

Mount Aragats

Lake Arpi

Noravank

It is a 13th-century Armenian monastery which located 122 km from Yerevan. It is located in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River, near the town of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia.

Gyumri

It is an urban municipal community which is the second largest city in Armenia. It is serving as the administrative centre of Shirak Province and is in the northwestern part of the country.

Vanadzor

It is an urban municipal community .The third-largest city in Armenia which is serving as the capital of Lori Province. It is located about 128 kilometres north of the capital Yerevan.

Amberd Fortress

Amberd is a 10th-century fortress which is located 2,300 meters above sea level. The name translates to “fortress in the clouds” in Armenian.

Tsaghkadzor

It is a spa town and urban municipal community. It is one of the most popular health resorts in Armenia. It is located north of the capital Yerevan in the Kotayk Province.

Upper Azat Valley

It is monastery of Geghard and theUpper Azat Valley. It contains a number of churches and tombs. Most of churches are cut into the living rock.

Karahunj Observatory

It is also called Zorats Karer, Karahunj, Qarahunj and Carenish.It is a prehistoric archaeological site near the town of Sisian. It is also referred to in international tourist lore as the “Armenian Stonehenge”

Khor Virap

It is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat plain in Armenia. It is Near the closed border with Turkey, about 8 kilometres south of Artashat.

Dvin

Dvinwas a large commercial city and the capital of early medieval Armenia. It was situated north of the previous ancient capital of Armenia.
