Conducted by the Haryana Tourism Department at Surajkund, this fair provides a broad range of attractions for visitors of all ages. With active participation from more than 20 countries in South Asia, Africa, and Europe, this event is steadily gaining popularity. Surajkund, also known as the ‘Lake of the Sun,’ has historical importance as an ancient reservoir built by King Suraj Pal of the Tomar dynasty in the 10th century. If reports are to go by, the initiation of the ’37th Surajkund International Craft Mela’ has significantly contributed to the upswing in tourism in Faridabad, Haryana.

Dates and timings
The Surajkund Mela 2024 has started today and will continue till February 18. The fair’s daily schedule will be to remain open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., which means visitors will have ample time to explore its numerous attractions.

- Ticket price on weekends (Saturday and Sunday): INR 180

Students from schools and colleges, possessing a valid ID card, can get a 50 percent discount on entry tickets on weekdays. Likewise, senior citizens, soldiers, and differently-abled individuals qualify for a 50% discount on entry tickets.
