Places to see/Visit in Spain ? The major cities in Spain are well-connected by rail, with Madrid the central hub, although delays are frequent and long-distance routes require compulsory advance booking.

Buses offer a cheaper alternative.Spain is one of the best value and most rewarding countries for travel in Europe.

Almería

n the 10th and 11th centuries, it formed part of the Caliphate of Córdoba, and grew wealthy on trade and the textile industry, especially silk.
